館内 ゲストへの案内はシンプル
最小限の案内に留めている
空きスペースは広く、ベンチもほとんどなく館内に長く留まるような雰 囲気はない
館内放送、音楽もなくとても静か フォトサービスは人気があり好評 レストランはゲレンデからのアクセスのみ ロッカー室は地下
レストランは１カ所だが広く、メニューの選択肢が多い （コンビニ、BAR、カフェ、レストラン）
ゲレンデ 館内同様、最小限の案内に留めている リフト放送、乗車時の信号、降車時の放送はない スキースクールは長いエスカレーターと初心者コースに集中している （平日にもかかわらず、とても賑わっていました） パトロールはベースにメディカルセンターがありドクターのみが待機 パトロール隊員は２つの山頂に待機、巡回 リフト支柱に宣伝広告あり パークは日本と変わらないサイズ感で中級と初級に分かれている コースは地形を生かしたグルーミングでいい意味で難しい (日本のように滑りやすくグルーミングをしていない） キッズコース（一般開放）にアジリティーが設置

所感 キロロだけでなく日本のスキー場のサービスの違いを感じました。 案内や放送は最小限だが、目の届く範囲に必ずスタッフがいて、声を
積極的にかけてくれてとても気持ちがよかったです。
ロケーションがよく、地元スキーヤーが胸を張って「最高のロケーシ
ョン」と言い切るところが素敵でした。キロロではスタッフが「雪はい
いけど・・・」、「斜度が無い」「距離が短い」とかよく耳にするが、キロ
ロを夢中で楽しんだことがあるのか疑問に思いました。働くスタッフで
はなくゲストが「最高のスキー場」とアピールしているところに、キロ
ロに何か足りないものを感じました。それは、スタッフのキロロへの愛
情だったりゲストとのコミュニケーションだったり。
もちろんそれだけではなく、業務優先のオペレーションはゲストにメ
リットはなく、ゲストの為のオペレーションを考えなければいけないと
強く感じました。今以上にそれを優先しなければいけないと思っていま
す。

当日は「ピュアアイス」によりクローズの為、現場での直接確認は出来ず。
突然の訪問にもかかわらず、M&Sのマネージャーとディレクターに新雪に対応していただき、聞ける範囲の事を聞くことしかできませんでした。
所感 スキー場自体は田舎の小さなスキー場だが、ゲレンデの規模はとても
広大でした。建物はログ調でとてもアットホームな雰囲気で素晴らしか
ったです。
スタッフの対応、スキー場の雰囲気などから、直感的にこのスキー場
で働いたみたいと思わせられました。突然の訪問にもかかわらずとても
親切に色々な事を話していただき、またキロロにも関心を持って頂けた
のは好印象でした。

館内 比較的日本のスキー場に近い案内サインを掲示している
ベンチもほとんどなく複数の建物が廊下でつながっていて、日本のリゾ
ートスキー場に近い作りになっている 館内放送、音楽はないがとても賑やかで混雑している レストランはゲレンデ、館内からのアクセスできる
ゲレンデ 初見でニセコヒラフのベースエリアを想像させる（とても似ている） リフト放送、乗車時の信号、降車時の放送はない パークはフリースタイルのワールドカップ直後ということもあり、大き
なキッカーと大きなハーフパイプが２本、メインのゲレンデ出口正面に
ある
リフト沿いにリフトと同じ長さのパークがありサイズは中級をメインと
している
（当日もとても賑わっており、日本人も多数いました） パトロールはベースにメディカルセンターがありドクターと看護師が複

室に表記してある（一般のゲストには見れない）
所感 日本人でも容易に想像できるリゾートスキー場でした。スタッフのコ
ミュニケーションは、今回視察したスキー場の中で一番ありませんでし
た。ゲストとスタッフの距離が遠く感じ、パークの充実等本州のスキー
場に似ていてキロロが目指しているスキー場とは異なる気がしました。
今回視察したスキー場の中で一番大きなスキー場で、一番日本に似て
いるスキー場でした。

所感 CORONET PEAK、TREBULE CONEと同様にゲストとスタッフの距
離がとても心地よく、キロロが目指す姿はこういうものではないのかと
感じました。
おもてなしという面では、日本より格段の違いがあり、様々なところ
で参考にすべきと強く感じました。

Mt.Huttでは支配人のジェイムスが午前中は様々なNZのシステムやスキー場のオペレ
ーションについて、日本人通訳を介しプロジェクターを使用し説明していただき、とても感謝しています。その際パトロール隊長のローナンも同席していただき、スノーセーフティーについてもレクチャーしていただいた。
彼とは午後からも、BCエリア2か所、クローズコースの解放現場立ち合い、パトロール以外立ち入り禁止の緊急時専用備品庫なども案内していただき、また、インターネット上にスキー場情報を載せれるサイトやその仕組み等も教えていただいた。
ローナンはNZに7頭いるアバランチドッグの中の1頭所有し、12月に雪崩セミナーの講師として10週間ほど日本に来日予定だそうです。イアン、リアムにはその際にぜひキロロに立ち寄っていただけるようお話してあります。
現在パトロールとして勤務中でMOUNTAIN CLUBスタッフとして採用予定のある、オリーとコナーの２人にも会い一緒に滑り話をする機会がありました。

滞在先 クイーンズタウンはとても華やかな観光地で、スキー以外にも様々なア
クティビティがあり、MTBやバンジージャンプ、ボート等、さらには土
産店なども立ち並び確立された観光の町でした。
クライストチャーチは2011年の震災の影響で町の80％が復興してお
らず、数軒のホテルがあるだけで観光客を受け入れるには程遠い状態で
した。日本が早いのかNZが遅いのかはわかりませんが、日本の復興の速
さにあらためて日本の力を感じることが出来ました。見るものすべてが
勉強になりました。

総評 今回の視察で日本とNZのスキー場を取り巻く環境の違いを知ること
が出来ました。
まず１つ目はNZ全土のアクシデントに対して、国籍を問わずACCと
いう機構（Accident Compensation Corporation）が人に対するアクシデ
ント全て賄う制度があるという事。これは要救助者も救助者にも適用さ
れる為、救助費用の請求などをスキー場が要救助者には行はない。（あく
