頬や体が赤くなることから一般に「リンゴ病」と呼ばれるウイルス性の感染症「伝染性紅斑」の昨年の患者数が、ここ１０年で過去最多だったことが、国立感染症研究所のまとめで分かった。今年に入っても子どもを中心に流行は続いている。実態が分かっていない「大人のリンゴ病」も広がっている可能性があり、専門家が注意を呼び掛けている。
